William Wang

Founding Partner

William is a founding Partner of Primavera Capital Group. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, and the Co-Chair of the Investment Portfolio Monitoring and Management Committee. He leads the firm’s growth capital investments.

William led or played an important role in deals including Alibaba, Yum China, Ant Group, Nio Inc., Mininglamp Technology, Hello Inc., and Zhaopin Ltd..

Previously, William served as a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area (PIA). Prior to GS PIA, he worked at China International Capital Corporation.

William graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Management and Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management Science.
